Eagan - Wynona, Age 90 of Eagan MN was born into eternal life on Sunday, February 15, 2026, peacefully in her home. Preceded in death by her parents Claud "Heck" and Lucille Shrader, her husband Richard "Dick" Gaworski, her son Br. Michael Gaworski fbp, her brother Charles Shrader and her great granddaughter Malia Doran. Survived by her children Gary (Peggy), Joe (Cherlyn), Laurie (Kevin) Maxwell, and Randy (Amy), her 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and her many spiritual brothers and sisters of St. Peter's Parish, the People of Praise, and the Franciscan Brothers of Peace. Born in Lawton OK and raised in the Wichita Mountains near Cache OK, Wynona graduated from Cache High School and continued her education at Central State College where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. In college, Wynona met her husband Dick while he served in the Army in Ft. Sill, OK. After the couple married, they moved to St. Paul's East Side. In 1969, with a young family of 5 children, she and Dick moved to Eagan where they built a home and continued to raise their family. In addition to being a homemaker, Wynona was a teacher, substitute teacher and served as the liturgy coordinator at St. Peter's Parish where she and Dick were active members. Affectionately known as Grandma Nona, she held a special place in her heart for her 56 grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. Many enjoyed spending time with Grandma Nona participating in her sleepovers and Christmas Pageants! Wynona also enjoyed golfing, annual trips to Huddles Resort on Leech Lake with her children and grandchildren, and annual vacations in AZ with Dick. Wynona was very active in her People of Praise women's group where she enjoyed various activities including praying, traveling and playing Rummikub. She will be remembered for her love for her family and friends, her religious devotion and prayer, kindness and passion for life. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, February 24, 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church (1405 Highway 13, Mendota) with Visitation one hour prior to Mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery following Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Franciscan Brothers of Peace, Pro-Life Action Ministries or Trinity School at River Ridge.
