Chaska, MN - William Emory Moeger, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, accomplished artist, friend and a lifelong lover of the natural world passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2025 at the age of 71.

Born on November 12, 1953 in Richfield, Minnesota, Bill was a creative and fun-loving spirit from his childhood through his last day on earth. He loved to explore and take photos that reflected his love for light, form, texture and the quiet beauty of nature. Bill used brush, pencil, canvas, sculpture and other media to capture the world around him. He loved creating caricatures that showed the quirky side of his friends and family and his gift of offbeat humor. His devotion to design carried him through a lifelong career as an independent graphic designer where his inspired book designs and collaborations reflected both his creativity and generosity of spirit.

Beyond his art, his proudest role was that of Dad and Opa. Bill loved his children, Jenna Myrland (Mike) and Peter Moeger and supported them in every endeavor. His grandchildren, Olive and Eva, brought him tremendous pride, joy and storytelling opportunities, and he cherished every moment that he spent laughing, teaching and exploring alongside them.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Prest) Moeger; his sisters Mary Peterson and Carol Romeyn (Donald), and Brother, John Moeger (Cathy) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father, Robert Moeger; Mother, Julienne Moeger; and Sisters Sue Davis, and Lynne Arradondo Jackson.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held on September 28, 2025, from 1:00-5:00 pm at the McColl Pond ELC in Savage, Minnesota. In memory of Bill, contributions may be directed to the family or to a charity of the donor's choice.
