Stillwater, MN - William "Bill" Edward Jepsen, a compassionate advocate and a dedicated community member, passed away on August 2, 2025. A long-time resident of Marine on St. Croix and Stillwater, Minnesota, Bill's warmth and integrity touched the lives of many.

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Bill's early years were marked by a spirited love for athletics, excelling as a track star. His journey of learning led him to the University of Nebraska and later to a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota. His legal career was distinguished not just by accolades but by his deep commitment to justice, representing those most in need with unwavering diligence.

Bill is survived by his beloved family: his sons David, John (Amy), and grandsons Alex and Britton. His life was enriched by the enduring support of his former spouses, Cindy Jepsen and Brenda Cleary. He is also remembered fondly by his siblings John H. Jepsen (Pam) and Dee Zellinger (Gary), nieces, nephews, and extended family who cherished his presence.

His professional achievements were his proudest. Bill's clients represented an untold story of injury or harm that he advocated for with his voice of jurisprudence. Often, he would quote a song or a line from a book in delivering closing arguments to the jury. Bill's heart was rooted in family, friendship, and community. Whether coaching Little League, engaging in Marine city council service, or savoring moments of mountain biking, fishing, golf, skiing, or cooking, he brought enthusiasm and kindness to every endeavor.

Bill's life will be celebrated September 4th from 4 to 8pm at the Brookside Restaurant, Marine on St. Croix, with a gathering including a short program.
