St. Louis Park, Minnesota - Wayne Barron, born September 18, 1950 passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025 with his wife of 36 years, Diane at his side. Thirty Six years ago to the day, Wayne had asked Diane if she wanted to have dinner on the ground with him the next day, or 10,000 feet in the air and accompany him on a trip out East. Diane held Wayne as he passed, whispering in his ear and reminding him that 36 years ago she chose to accompany him, but that this time, Diane would be staying on the ground, and he would be going 10,000 feet in the air with God. Diane gave a quick blessing and he passed. Wayne was an accomplished artist and graphic designer at 3M where he convinced his employer to put graphic designs on the reflective sheeting material that 3M used for license plates. Wayne was the artist who created the design for the Minnesota license plate, along with designs for the license plates of several other states. Prior to a health crisis, Wayne had a part-time art gallery in Pepin, Wisconsin, where he displayed his nature photography. Wayne was able to capture the beauty of God's creation in his photography. Wayne was a private person that had the courage to accept the limitations a severe stroke placed on his body nine years ago, but Wayne continued creating, almost up to his passing. Wayne is survived by his wife, Diane and her mother, June Anderson, Diane's son Michael Gears and wife Dr. Lisa Gears, Diane's son Jeffrey Gears and wife Michelle Gears, sister Deb and cousins Michele, Chad, Bruce and Greg and Paul and Barb Stripsky, along with Diane's grandchildren Emily and her husband, Oscar, and Benjamin, Raade, Svea, and Thora Gears and other family and friends.

Wayne was a true artist, a private person who wished for a Private Memorial.
