Roseville, MN - Vincent Nick Deters 94, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026. Vince was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was born on his family's dairy farm March 12,1932 near Elrosa, MN. He attended a one room schoolhouse and learned about WWII as it happened. As a young man, he worked on the farm and played baseball with local clubs.

Vince met the love of his life, Donna Weber of Greenwald, at a Spring Hill dancehall. They dated and married in July, 1955. They settled in Roseville, MN and raised 5 children. He began his career in the printing industry as a Lithographer, attended night school and was soon promoted to Journeyman. Vince was athletic, enjoyed sports and coached his sons' Little League teams. Upon his retirement, he traveled with Donna, and was one of the founders of the Roseville Senior Softball League. Vince played shortstop for 30 years, retiring when he was 88. His team won the AAA Division World Championship in 2002.

Family was Vince's first priority. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, taught them to love athletics and was always up for a race to see who was fastest. He often shared a joke or an interesting story about growing up on the farm, which they loved. He could build or fix anything and was generous with his time, demonstrating his love to family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

Vince was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Donna Weber Deters; his parents John and Caroline (Schneider) Deters, and siblings Diona Deters, Billy Deters, Anna Marie Deters, Robert Deters, Thomas Deters, Dennis Deters and Lorraine Wander. He is survived by his children, Ruth Kise (Scott), Gregg Deters, MaryJo Deters (Mark Johnson), Jeff Deters (Becky) and Nancy Youngstedt (Steve), twelve grandchildren, five great-grand children; brothers David Deters (Barb), Andy Deters, Michael Deters (Clara), James Deters, sisters Julianna Burg (Larry), Mary Welle (Jim), Linda Running (Tom), Judy Canesi (Charlie), Mona Athmann (Jim), Theresa Loxtercamp (Tom) and sister-in-law Carolyn Deters. Per his request, there will not be a service, private interment.
