Troy Eugene Amundson was called home to his heavenly Father on May 20, 2025, at Fairview Southdale, surrounded by family and friends.
Troy was born on August 21, 1966, in Kailua Hawaii, on the Island of Oahu. Troy spent his childhood growing up with his family in California, Georgia and Montana, graduating from Hobson Montana in 1984. Upon graduating, Troy pursued and obtained his degree in Business from Montana State University- Northern, where he played basketball under coach Jay Pivec. Troy honored his country, serving in the Army while stationed in San Antonio Texas.
Troy moved to Minnesota in 1991, joining Gold Country Inc, Signature Concepts, working for 30 years, serving as Vice President. He loved leading teams and solving problems. Troy married Erica Leafblad and was blessed with a beautiful daughter Abby and son Jordan. He loved them both and was proud of their accomplishments.
Troy loved collecting vintage toys, baseball and football cards. He loved to laugh and make people laugh. His friends were an extended family. Good friends were important, and he cherished his time with them.
Troy is preceded in death by his mother, Ida Paulette Amundson. Troy is survived by Erica Amundson, his daughter, Abby Amundson, and son, Jordan Amundson. Father Donald Eugene Amundson, sisters, Karen Michelle Machado (Jerry) & Kelli Wendel (Shannon) and brother, Scott Amundson (Ranael), along with numerous nephews, nieces and relatives.
