Burnsville - Wetzel, Toni July 13, 2025 Antionette "Toni" Wetzel. Daughter of Earl V. Wetzel, M.D. and Aurelia (nee Cantwell), born 1/21/1944 in Santa Monica, California. Graduate of Derham Hall High School 1962, Barat College of the Sacred Heart Lake Forest 1966, Education Certificate College of St. Catherine's, Master's Degree in Curriculum and Learning Mankato State University. Founder of the Southside Bereavement Group and facilitator for 19 years, as well as training new facilitators. Survived by daughter Melissa Simmer of Lakeville, son Rob Simmer of Burnsville, grandchildren Lauren Aurelia and Tobias Elder, brother Philip Wetzel (Mary) of Spokane, WA, sister Frances VanGombos (Nick) of Red Bank, NJ, cousin Lee-Lee Robinson of Sutter Creek, CA, niece Kathy Pauck (Thad) of Medford, OR, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins from the Wetzel and Fortier families. Preceded in death by brother Dennis, father Earl, mother, Rea, and brother Earl. Ceremony: Monday, July 28th., St. Joan of Arc, 4537 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55419. Visitation at 10am and mass at 11am, followed by a luncheon. Private family interment service at Resurrection Cemetery.
