age 75, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Tim was born on March 8, 1949, in Minneapolis. He was a proud graduate of Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota, where he earned his degree in history. He dedicated 53 years to his career as a commodities broker, where he was known for his keen insights and unwavering integrity, building lifelong relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond his professional life, Tim was deeply devoted to his family and community. A passionate supporter of all Minnesota sports teams, he had an especially deep love for Gopher hockey. His enthusiasm for the sport led him to spend many years coaching youth hockey, sharing his love for the game and mentoring young players with patience and encouragement. His loyalty, sense of humor, and generous spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Tim was an avid golfer, cherishing memorable experiences such as playing the legendary course at Pebble Beach and attending the Masters in Augusta—two lifelong highlights that brought him immense joy. He was also a devoted referee and ambassador for the sport of bandy, earning induction into the Bandy Hall of Fame in 2016 by unanimous vote.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Peg; his sister, Rita; his brother, Larry; his sister-in-law, Christine; and his nephew, Danny.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; his children, Brian (Suzanne) and Eric (Cassie); his brothers, Steve (Sharon), Dave (Kathy), and Rick (Deb); his sister, Bonnie; his sister-in-law, Shaleen; and his cherished grandchildren, Lillian and Elliott. He is also survived by his many beloved nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Tim's life will take place in the spring, where family and friends will gather at one of his favorite golf courses to honor his memory. Further details will be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Tim's memory.
