Casey, Timothy D. age 72, of Andover was born in Minneapolis on July 21, 1952; deceased on March 21, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. Preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Gloria Casey. Tim lived in Andover, MN and is survived by his wife, Bonnie; sons, Sean (Kelly) and Brett (Jenny); grandchildren, Gavin, Ian, Henry, Emilia, Emmett; siblings, Colleen (Michael) Schmaltz, Marybeth (Bruce) Johnson, Sheila Krausert and Michael Casey Jr. (Katie). Tim had a strong sense of duty and patriotism; he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol in high school and went on to serve in Vietnam with the US Airforce. He left the Airforce in 1979 to work in the family business, North Star Glass, a company started by his father in 1967. He was a leader, going on to own North Star, and served the glass industry as a Board Member and President of the Minnesota Glass Association. Through the years, Tim was active in the Anoka/Coon Rapids/Ham Lake communities with the Rotary Club, and was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW. When not with family, fishing and boating were where you could find Tim. He took great pride in his fishing skills and cherished nature and leisure time with friends and family. He was passionate about these hobbies and took them to a professional level as a charter captain, he held a USCG Marine Officer License and enjoyed taking fishing groups out on Mille Lacs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 10:30 AM with a visitation one hour prior to Mass at The Church of the Epiphany, 1900 111th Ave NW, Coon Rapids.
