Tim was a University of Minnesota alum, and a wry commenter on life. He worked much of his professional life in the newspaper and publishing businesses, including time with the Bradenton Herald and, most recently, the Star Tribune.
Tim's passion was sailing. His retirement from the Star Tribune in 1996 allowed him to indulge in that passion. He and Kathy spent most summer weekends on his boat, Sea Fever, plying the waters of Lake Pepin with friends.
He loved his home on the Mississippi and dearly loved his family and friends. He was a quiet guy with a sardonic wit that would magically appear when least expected.
Come celebrate and honor Tim's life at an open house on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Tim and Kathy's home, 337 Mill Street, St. Paul, MN between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Alzheimer's Association of Minnesota or the Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance.
