Edina, MN - Tighe Daniel Rogers, age 16, passed peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with brain cancer on June 6, 2025. Tighe was everything a parent could hope for - confident, generous, respectful, ambitious, and witty.

Tighe inherited his mother's sarcastic charm and his father's quiet confidence that captured those who were fortunate to have known him. An engaging and genuine young man, he would chat you up about his loves - golf, boating, cars and F1 racing, school, his dog, and his strong faith that is rare in most teenagers.

As a dedicated student and athlete at Edina High School, Tighe spent countless hours (or in his words "the grind") at Braemar golf dome or practice range preparing for spring tryouts, at Hyland ski hill practicing racing for the Edina Alpine team, where he was voted next year's captain, and studying to maintain a remarkable GPA with sights set to attend the University of Wisconsin, UNC, or UT-Austin after his senior year.

Tighe loved his brother, his sister, and his friends fiercely. Being the big brother he knew how to push Deacon's and Elaina's buttons but he always found time to be with them, whether on the trampoline in the backyard, swimming at the river, or competing in any game that he made sure he would win. He was mature beyond his years but maintained a love of play. He met his closest friends in elementary school that remained by his side through high school and his fight with cancer.

Tighe's life ended far too soon but he lived it fully, brought humor and joy, and left his mark on this world. He is deeply missed by his mom (Tanya), dad (Brent), brother (Deacon, 14), sister (Elaina, 12), dog (Cagney) as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends.

Tighe's life and legacy will be remembered and celebrated on his 17th birthday this June 30th at 3 pm at Braemar Golf Course in Edina. A Memorial Fund can be found at www.toughliketighe.com.
