Cottage Grove, MN - Born 10-6-1938 in Hayfield MN to Lawrence and Evelyn. Tom grew up in St Paul MN, graduated from Harding and proudly served in the army. Tom received his masters in accounting from Wisconsin State. Tom married Dianne Mueller and was employed as a budget analyst for the city of St Paul until retirement. After retirement, Tom enjoyed playing volleyball with old colleagues, golf, weekly bridge games, traveling and volunteer activities with Red Cross and his grandchildren's school.

Tom and Dianne loved traveling with good friends Don and Jean Rau. They shared many amazing trips together and wintered together in Cape Coral Florida.

Tom was known for his kindness and making lasting friendships. As a husband and father, Tom was active and involved. Whether helping delivering papers Sunday morning with Ian, or being the boy's scout leader for Ian and Jim, taking Christine skating, or cheering her on at softball game.

Tom loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed his son-in-law Larry's grilling and smoking talents. Tom loved the outdoors and camping trips, always making sure his family would have memories to cherish. Tom was an avid hunter who loved spending time at the shack with his hunting buddies and their sons/grandsons. When he could not make the trips, this awesome group of guys took the time to bring him coffee, donuts and great conversation a gift he cherished.

Tom is preceded in death by his wife Dianne, son Ian, parents Larry and Evelyn, siblings Marilyn, James and Lawrence Joel.

Tom is survived by daughter Christine (Larry), son James, grandchildren Anthony (Angie), Lauren (Preston), Aaron (Alla), Hailey, Allexus (Charles) and great grandchildren Jaxson, George, Evelyn, Douglas, Vivian and Luther.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on 01-24-2026 at Ray-js American grill, 9854 Norma Ln.
