Buckeye, AZ - Thomas (Tom) Delano Combs passed peacefully at home in Buckeye, AZ with his loving wife Jill by his side on December 29, 2025.
Tom was born on October 15, 1945, to Andrew and Emily (Claussen) Combs. He grew up on the West Side of St. Paul, MN. After graduating from Central High School in St. Paul, Tom attended Winona State College prior to proudly serving his country in Vietnam as a Sergeant in the United States Army and, also in the National Guard of Minnesota.
Tom married Jill, his best friend of 33+ years, on New Year's Eve 1992. Tom enjoyed a varied and rewarding career focused mainly on telecommunications and information technology, ultimately opening his own technology firm which he managed for eleven years before retiring in 2015. But his true love and passion was his family. Tom was forever a proud father.
Tom is survived by his wife, Jill; his first wife, Leanne Combs; children, Matthew (Kris), Mark, and Alexandra; siblings, Nancy (Mike) Ruth, Jeffrey Combs, Steven Combs; sister-in-laws Kristi Meints (Frank) and Dawn Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Combs and Emily Sheppard; his brother, Richard Combs; his sisters, Penny Miller and Susan Thompson; and, a special brother-in-law, Gayle Thompson; plus, many nieces, nephews, and long-time friends from Minnesota and across the country as well as wonderful new friends in Arizona!
Following interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul, MN, a Celebration of Life will be held in MN during the spring of 2026.
