Arden Hills, MN - Terry Jane Bergman (née Trowbridge) passed away February 3, 2026 at her residence in Arden Hills, Minnesota. Born in Minneapolis in 1944, Terry was a graduate of Orono High School, Macalester College, and the University of Minnesota. She went on to get her doctorate in Neuropsychology and Child Brain Development from Harvard University, and would devote much of her life to working with children struggling with learning differences and developmental disabilities. For 7 years, she served as Head of School at The Quaker School at Horsham in Pennsylvania. She moved back to Minnesota in 2008 after 40 years on the East Coast, and was happy to be reconnected with friends and family in the Twin Cities. She was preceded in death by one of her sons, Andrew Bergman, of Portland, OR; and is survived by two siblings - Jannie Williams of Stillwater, MN and Jeffrey Trowbridge of Charlton, NY; two sons - Sam Bergman of Keene, NH and Benjamin Bergman of Ferndale, MI; and her daughter-in-law, Kim Corbette and granddaughter, Inara Corbette-Bergman, of Portland, OR.
