Deerwood - 81, of Deerwood, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025. Born in Brisbane, Australia, on January 2, 1944, Sue lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity. She was known for her passion for crafting, her dedication to volunteering, and found joy in traveling. Above all, Sue cherished time spent with her family and friends, creating lasting memories and sharing laughter. Her warmth and caring spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Professionally, Sue devoted her career to caring for others as a registered nurse, serving as a nurse and then head nurse in Pediatric Oncology at Minneapolis Children's Hospital. Her compassion and dedication touched countless lives.

Sue will be deeply missed by her husband, Dennis; Together, they shared nearly 50 wonderful years of marriage filled with devotion and joy. Her son, Christopher (Michelle) Hanson; son-in-law, John Crowley; brother, Richard (Ann) Cummings; sister, Sharon Cummings; four cherished grandchildren—Andrew, Allison, Timothy (Shawna), and Brendan (Rachel)—and one great-grandchild, Lesli. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter, Lesli.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Services will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Arrangements are entrusted to Koop Funeral Home, Crosby.
