Mpls, MN - Susan E. Anderson (nee Swanson) 84 of Minneapolis passed away April 30, 2025, with loved ones by her side.

Susan was very active in her church, and became an Oblate in 2010 with the Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict. She was also very involved in her local community, volunteering at many events and community outreach programs for tutoring youth, supporting housing services, co-housing, and promoting peace through the Peace Foundation. She was a big proponent of the arts and enjoyed visiting the many museums of which she was a member, including Mia, Walker Art Center, and Norway House. Susan loved to read and always had multiple books in progress, as she was a member of at least 3 different book clubs and Friends of the Hennepin County Library. If there was an organization to join, chances are she had! Susan also enjoyed spending time with friends and family playing cards, doing puzzles, and taking walks in the neighborhood. Susan had many, many friends and will be greatly missed.

Susan is survived by daughters Laura (Vincent) Regan and Eileen Darnell, granddaughters Megan and Rebecca, brother Tom (Cindy) Swanson and sister Carol (Richard) Wagner. She was predeceased by her parents Irving and Margaret Swanson and husband Roger W. Anderson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday May 23, 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to Mass and lunch to follow at The Church of Christ the King, 5029 Zenith Ave S., Mpls. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery at 3:00 PM. Family and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Agate Housing and Services or The Church of Christ the King.
