Elk River, Minnesota - Steven (Stu) Burns (58) passed away unexpectedly in his home on October 27th. Stu was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ina Burns, his sister Nancy Burns, his best friend and brother Mike Burns, brother-in-law Matt Mauricio and nephews, Michael and Adam Mauricio. Stu is survived by his siblings, Mary Mauricio, John (Claudia)Burns, and Karen (Phil) Gewedik, his best friend and sister-in-law Liz Burns and many beloved nieces and nephews. Stu spent the last years of his life living with his best friends, Pam and Duane Hohn. Stu was a gentle and unassuming man who was always quick to welcome, listen and offer help without hesitation. He was an incredible friend, always remembering the small things. Celebration of life is at Pub 42, 7600 N. 42nd Ave., New Hope, MN on Tuesday, April 22nd from 4-7 pm.
