Crosby, ND - Sharon (Aaberg) Peterson, age 77, of Crosby, ND and Eden Prairie, MN, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025.

Born September 17, 1948 in Williston, North Dakota to Walter and Lois Aaberg, she was raised on the family farm near Zahl and attended Crosby High School and Minot State College.

She married Jerry Peterson in 1970, building a life rooted in farming, community, and family.

A devoted mother and grandma, she deeply loved her sons Jeremy and Jeff and grandsons Wesley and Reed.

Sharon worked for Amerada Hess, National Car Rental, Basin Electric, and spent 23 years with the Divide County School District.

Sharon was active in Concordia Lutheran Church and loved gardening, music, crafts, playing cards, and spending time with loved ones.

She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the joy and fun she brought to everyday life.

Sharon is survived by her husband Jerry of Crosby and Eden Prairie; her sons Jeremy (Amanda) of Plymouth, MN and Jeff of Long Lake, MN; grandsons Wesley and Reed; mother Lois Aaberg; siblings Dianne Erickson, Susan Welo, Darla Hansen, and Warren Aaberg. In eternal rest she joins her father Walter Aaberg and father and mother-in-law Grover and Ruth Peterson.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, with a second gathering in Crosby later this winter.
