Mashaal, Saul age 89, died peacefully on March 21, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on October 17, 1935, in Cairo, Saul lived a life full of purpose and dedication to his loved ones, his work, and his many passions and interests. Saul was a visionary who founded his own biotechnology company, inspiring others with his tireless work ethic and passion for innovation. He was deeply committed to his work, but even more so devoted to his family. He never missed an important event or a birthday, and was always quick to jump on the next plane to help any of his loved ones who needed him. He had a great love for travel, collecting art, the symphony, and the opera. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane Mashaal; parents, Ketty and Albert Akerib; and his sisters, Biba, Andrée and Dina. He is survived by his daughter, Gilah Mashaal; son, David (Cynthia) Mashaal; brothers, Remi and Freddy; and grandchildren, Gabrielle Mashaal-Timm (Tyler Timm), Zachary Mashaal, Aiden Mashaal, and Sarah Mashaal. Saul's presence will be greatly missed in the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know him. Funeral service 12:00 PM on TUESDAY March 25th at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry St. W., St. Louis Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Beth El Synagogue Arts & Music Fund.
