Those who knew Sarah enjoyed her sharp wit and her agile brain. She taught her siblings and nieces and nephews how to play backgammon, scrabble, cribbage and many card games and she delighted in besting all of us! Sarah's beautiful voice will also be remembered. She loved singing and her tastes were expansive from folk to rock to classical. We will miss Sarah dearly.
"And those who loved her could smile through their tears that Beth was well at last" L.M. Alcott, Little Women.
And so we smile for you Sarah. Godspeed.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Mt. Olivet Care Home and the wonderful nurses at Fairview Southdale Hospital 8th floor. Memorials for Sarah may be sent to either facility. A private service will be held at a later date.
