Mpls, MN - Sara Sierk Amaden, 78, passed away peacefully at N.C. Little Hospice in Edina, Minnesota, on June 7, 2025, after a long battle with lung disease.
Sara dedicated much of her career to grassroots organizing. Her thoughtful voice made her a respected presence in local political circles. After politics, her favorite hobbies were reading, piano, and bridge.
Sara is survived by her brother John Sierk (Melissa West), several nieces and nephews, and her loving children, Karin and Robert. Preceded in death by parents Harry and Gertrude Sierk, and sister Susan Foster.
Memorial donations preferred to N.C. Little Hospice in Edina, MN.
