Brooklyn Park, MN - Ruth Joan Boeser, 96, of Brooklyn Park, MN, died Monday, July 14th at rest in her bed.

She was born on January 24th 1929, to Sam and Cora Ulness to a farm life in Mondovi, WI.

She married Floyd Rudolph Boeser on June 15th, 1952, and settled down in Brooklyn Park where they had two children, Ronald and Beth.

Ruth worked as a retail associate at JC Penney for 25 years and was active in her church and community.

Coming from a farm-girl upbringing, she got genuine joy from gardening and maintained a large garden with her husband Floyd for decades. She loved to walk and enjoyed the company of friends on walks in Minnesota and at her winter residence in Green Valley, AZ. An avid Minnesota Twins fan, she enjoyed attending and watching games with her husband and grandson. Her table served as the centerpiece for family holidays with her hosting and cooking.

Ruth is survived by daughter Beth (Guido) Maggiolo; daughter-in-law Val Boeser; grandson Samuel (Kim) Boeser, and great-granddaughter Serena; Michael (Stephanie) Rizner and great-grandchildren Grace, Aiden, and Elliott; and her sister Mary Salava. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her family members locally and those in Strum, WI will miss her presence deeply, especially during our traditional Christmas gathering.

She was preceded in death by her parents (Sam & Cora), husband Floyd, son Ronald, sister Lenore, and brother Donnie.

A Celebration of Life will be hosted at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church on August 15th from 11a-2p.
