Mpls - Rose Marie Babcock of Bayport and formerly of Minneapolis and Brownsville, TX peacefully entered the loving arms of the Lord Jesus Christ on July 6, 2026. Rose was born February 10, 1931 to Charles and Clara Hansen in Farmington, MN. Rose's youth was spent on the farm with many fond memories. Living in Minneapolis, Rose is remembered as the best mom who demonstrated what God's love is by being faithful in her marriage and diligently raising six children. There was always room for friends & neighbors to stay or share in a meal. In retirement years they traveled and Wintered in Texas. Rose spent her last years in Bayport MN. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Clara, sisters Myrtle, Daisy, and Violet, brothers Charles and David, Husband Albert (Bill), Daughter Gloria & Son Tom. She is survived by children: Jim (Peggy), Bonnie (Jim) Hoffman, Maggie (Al), Shari (Tim) McCabe, Grandchildren: Kristi Martin, Jake (Amber), Katie (Greg) Weeks, Robert (Sam) Hoffman, Alyson (Nick) Calo, Taylor (Lexy) McCabe, Dumaine (Brennen), Zach (Summer), J.P., Alex (Meghan), Alaura (Billy) Berndt, 16 great grandchildren and one on the way, along with many nieces and nephews and extended family. A special thank you to the staff at Croixdale and Lakeview Hospice for the wonderful care they provided. Funeral service will be held at Cremation Society 4343 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis July 29, 2026: Visitation from 10:00-11:00, Service at 11:00am with Reception to follow. Roses ashes will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Al (Bill) at Fort Snelling at a future date. Memorials preferred to the family. cremationsocietyofmn.com
