Mpls, MN - Rosalie Elizabeth (Lee) Halling, 99, passed away of natural causes on April 20, 2025, at her home in Northeast Minneapolis after a brief time in hospice care.
She was born on December 14, 1925 in Minneapolis. She graduated from Edison HS in 1943, and married John Halling on September 11, 1948. Lee and John moved to Fridley in 1953 and lived there for 63 years.
Lee loved sports of all kinds. She and John enjoyed roller skating and long blade ice skating into their 80s. Their large group of skating friends golfed, traveled, and partied together regularly.
Lee is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Thomas) Walsh, her son Christopher (Marianne), and grandchildren Michael and Elizabeth Walsh, and John, Mina, and Eric Halling.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Susan Celusnak, her husband John, and her siblings Leonard, Marion, and Jeri.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 30, at the Church of St William, 6120 NE 5th Street, Fridley, MN 55432, with a visitation one hour before the mass. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in New Brighton.
