He went on to study under Sid Avery for a time in Los Angeles before moving back to MN where he began Crofoot Photography and worked as an accomplished commercial photographer. Ron was highly regarded by his colleagues in the advertising industry. Beyond his professional pursuits, Ron found joy in sailing the big waters of Lake Superior, cycling through picturesque landscapes and escaping to Madeline Island, his second home with his wife, Sheila Quinn. Ron's zest for life was evident. Above all, Ron cherished the time spent with family and dear friends. His warm and welcoming nature brought light to every gathering. His stories and laughter will be dearly missed. Sheila supported him through life's challenges the past several years, establishing an unbreakable bond. Their dogs, Avedon, Riley, Bennet and Harry were deeply loved and adored. A profound thanks to Harlan Limpert, Ron's childhood friend, for his significant and unwavering guidance during Ron's adjustment to life with Parkinson's.
