Bloomington - He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Roger died peacefully surrounded by his family on December 24th, 2025 after complications from a stroke, at the age of 72. He was born in Minneapolis, the youngest of three children. He graduated from Kennedy Sr. High School in 1971. After years in the automotive and construction industries, he opened Quality Closets and operated the business for many years before retiring. In his 72 years, he acquired life-long, loyal friends, many of whom he met weekly for lunch and very lively conversations reliving childhood memories and telling endless baseball and football stories. Fishing was also a passion of his that he passed on to his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, endless teasing and nonjudgmental listening skills. Some of his happiest times were spent coaching Courtney and his grandchildren or watching them at their sporting events. He was always ready for a game of cribbage and a laugh. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Muriel and sister, Shirley. Survived by his brother, Jerry; Anne, his wife of 47 years, daughter, Courtney (Fred), grandchildren, Kaley, Frederick, Jr., Robert, Halle, Kaitlyn, Charlise and William and great grandchildren, Nyomi, Trey, Kabriel and Robert V and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, May 19th at 3pm, at Centennial Lakes Hughes Pavillion, 7499 France Ave South, Edina.

He will be deeply missed.
