New Brighton - In loving memory of Robert Thomas Turner, who passed away after a long illness, on November 16, 2025, at the age of 49. Robert is survived by his mother, Patricia and siblings on his mother's side: Ann, Darcy and Raney, Eric and Jay; his father Robert, stepmother Ruth, and siblings on his father's side: John, Lloyd and Anthony, Natalie and Sarah; his many nieces and nephews; his steadfast childhood friend Murphy, and many others whose lives he touched with kindness and good humor and who supported him along the way. He was preceded in death by his fiancée Netsanet and brother Robert Lee.

Robert attended Southwest High School. His career path was filled with service-related jobs, as a counselor at YMCA Camp Icaghowan, where he spent the summers of his childhood; as a teacher's aide in the Minneapolis Public School system where he was matched with children that needed his special brand of attention and understanding; as a teacher in the Summer Urban Arts Academy. Robert attended the Minneapolis Community and Technical College, where he worked in administration, after which he pursued his dream by becoming a licensed realtor. Robert was a thoughtful, caring, inciteful and considerate man who enjoyed spending good times with his people... and he loved to be at the wheel of a Cadillac.

He was inquisitive and intellectual, he enjoyed deep conversations about history, music and comic books. He pursued his faith with steady devotion throughout his life, officially entering the Catholic Church in 2014.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at 11:30 AM, on July 18th, at the YMCA Camp Icaghowan site, 899 115th Street, Amery, Wisconsin. Memorial gifts may be made to the endowment for YMCA Camp Icaghowan, supporting camperships and camp programs that were so meaningful to Robert.
