Robert Joseph Stone (Bob) Obituary

Brooklyn Park - of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, passed away on January 3, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Born on April 29, 1943, Bob lived a life grounded in faith, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to those he cherished.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie Stone, and their seven children — Pam, Patti, Bob, John, Timothy, Tammy, and Jim — each of whom carries forward his strength, humor, and compassion. Bob is also survived by his brother, Bill, and sister, Maureen, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and friendship.

A man of deep faith and quiet strength, Bob was respected as a trusted friend and confidant. Those who sought his counsel were met with wisdom, honesty, and genuine care. Intelligent, well spoken, and kind hearted, he brought thoughtfulness and integrity to all of his relationships.

Bob dedicated his life to providing a joyful and secure home for his family of nine. He worked long hours — often to the point of exhaustion — yet did so without complaint and always with purpose. His hard work built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and togetherness: backyard swims, games in the gazebo, and countless family gatherings where joy came easily. The house was always stocked with good food, Christmas mornings overflowed with presents, and birthdays were celebrated with enthusiasm — each of his children were made to feel special, even in a family where four of the children shared their birthday with a sibling.

A lifelong Chicago sports fan, Bob proudly cheered for the Bulls, Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks, and White Sox. After settling in Minnesota, he watched, sometimes with good natured disbelief, as his children rooted for the Vikings, Wild, Twins, and Timberwolves. That friendly rivalry became a beloved part of family life, reflecting Bob's humor and the warmth that defined him.

Bob's legacy endures in the countless lives he touched with his compassion, guidance, and steadfast love.
