Print GuestbookDad loved holidays. Especially Easter and Christmas. Every Easter he would go all out on Easter baskets. They were packed full of little surprises and giant bunnies. He would be so happy watching us tear down the stairs and run to get our personalized Easter baskets. The chocolate or white chocolate bunnies were the really big fancy ones and always were the highlight of our baskets.
Then there was Christmas. I think this was my Dad's favorite holiday. He and my older brother Chris would lock themselves away in the wood shop in the basement a couple weeks before the day. We never knew what... they were making. It was always top secret. Then on Christmas morning (6am!) we had to wait upstairs until we heard our Dad playing Santa, coming to bring our gifts. We could only go downstairs when we heard a loud "HO! HO! HO!" in a distinctive W.C. Fields impersonation. One year I ran downstairs to find a beautiful hand-made puppet theater. I still have a strong love puppets because of that gift from my Dad and brother. Each year they locked themselves in the workroom and made each of us a very special gift.
The joy on his face during these holidays was infectious. He loved to give people gifts. It made him so happy to spread happiness around.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
