Robert Hall Homstad Obituary

St Paul, MN - He was an English teacher, later working in real estate and property management until physical challenges made continued work impossible. An Eagle Scout, he remained involved in Scouting for many years and set an example for his grandson. Robert was a writer with a creative spirit and artistic talent, even as blindness limited him for much of his adult life. Those close to him knew his sharp wit and humor.

In his later years, he grew increasingly open and trusting with his family, allowing them to support him through his final chapter. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Maria Homstad, and his longtime friend, Chuck Leif. He is survived by his daughters, Alexandra Elliot, and Elisabeth (Nicholas) Tillemans; and his grandson, Graham Tillemans. His family is grateful for the time spent with him and the chance to be present in his final years.
