Robert Clarke Bennett (Bob) Obituary

EDina - Age 71, of Edina, MN, passed away on November 30, 2025.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clarke and Miriam Bennett, Bob lived a full and generous life rooted in curiosity, humor, and deep devotion to the people he loved. Known as "Bobby" to his beloved grandsons, he never lost his love for learning, problem-solving, and tinkering with any project he could get his hands on.

A proud Iowa State Cyclone and Sigma Chi, Bob spent most of his career as an industrial engineer. He began his professional journey at 3M, where he worked for 25 years before transitioning into private equity. Outside of work, he embraced life with enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure, enjoying golf and tennis at ECC; playing handball, football, and baseball; camping and fishing in the BWCA; skiing in Vail; and traveling the world, sometimes even as the pilot.

Most of all, Bob adored his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol; brother, Edward (Peg) Bennett; sister, Mary (Pete) Senner; children, Jenni Bennett (Trevor Mulvey) and Stephen (Lauren) Bennett; four cherished grandsons - John, Nolan, Paul, and Caleb; and his much-loved English Springer Spaniel, Teddy.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Bob's healthcare team and caregivers for their exceptional support.

Memorial contributions preferred to the English Rose Scholarship Fund, which provides hardship grants to dedicated English Rose caregivers. A celebration of Bob's life will be held in the spring of 2026.
