N Mpls - Adams, Robert G. Age 100, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025. Born in Virginia, MN, in 1924, Bob was a longtime resident of North Minneapolis. A WWII Navy veteran, he served in the South Pacific as a signalman aboard the USS Zane. Bob worked in the printing industry until his retirement in 1987. He found joy in family, traveling, playing cards, golf, the great outdoors, and frequent trips to the BWCA and Minnesota's many campgrounds. He was a longtime member of Robbinsdale Compass Lodge #265 and was known for his gift of storytelling - those who knew him undoubtedly have a "Bob story" to share. Above all, Bob was a devoted father who lived a full and meaningful life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose, and later his dear friend, Mavis. Bob is survived by his children: Glenn (Rachel), Kathy Spike (Jerome), Bob (Karen), and Dan (Joanne), his grandchildren - Kelly, Kimberly, Jessica, Dan, Jolene, Allison, and Emily, along with ten great-grandchildren. Private services have been held with interment at Crystal Lake Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Shriners Children's Hospital.
