St. Paul, MN - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard "Rick" J. Ziton, a beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend to so many. Rick passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his faith, family and community.

Rick was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Catherine Rivers, his loving parents, Anne and James Ziton, and his dear sister, Kathy Ziton. He is survived by his brother, Robert "Bob" Ziton, numerous siblings on Catherine's side, a host of cousins, and nieces and nephews including Alex Ziton, Christina Soderstrom, Jack and Griffin Neville, Elizabeth Reineke Barrett, Kevin Reineke, and Michelle Reineke all who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

A tireless advocate for community service, Rick devoted much of his life to supporting organizations close to his heart, including St. Francis Cabrini Church, Our Lady of Peace Hospice, St. Joe's Church of W. St. Paul, Caring Bridge, and Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly (now Friends & Co.). He was also a fearless advocate for Federal Employees through his work with NARFE and NTEU. His kindness and selflessness knew no bounds, touching countless lives with his unwavering dedication to helping those in need.

Rick's warm smile, generous spirit, and love of life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his soul find eternal rest and peace.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 17th at 11:00am, with a Visitation one hour prior at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Cabrini Church, located at 1500 Franklin Ave. SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414. There will be a reception afterward at Cabrini.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Rick's honor to any of the organizations mentioned herein.
