Tucson, AZ - Richard Stern — June 6, 1946 – May 16, 2026 — passed away in Tucson, Arizona after a valiant battle against complications from Parkinson's Disease. A native of California and longtime resident of Minnesota, he spent 35 years as a scientist at 3M Company, where he was awarded more than 40 patents over the course of his career, prior to his retirement in 2002. He will be deeply missed by many, especially his sons Jeff (Susie) and Greg (Sara) Stern; his grandchildren Gabriel, Luzia, Eliot, Naomi, and Benjamin; his brothers Larry, Michael, and Steven Stern and Arnold Sisk; and his sisters Cheryl Goldberg, Debra Stern-Ellis, and Janice Bruno.
