Prior Lake, MN - 62, of Prior Lake MN, died May 22, 2026 after a long fight. Born December 3, 1963 in Fort Ord, Monterey CA to Richard T. Oakes and Carolyn Hogan-Oakes. Married Gail (Golmen) Oakes on July 28, 1990 Met in high school and were together for over 40 years and had four labs over that time they considered children: Sammy, Luke, Leah, and now Peanut. Worked as a chef, security manager, music manager, and a life-saver. Deeply loved his music, movies, his dogs, his family and friends, and his wife. Rick is survived by wife, Gail, brother, Robert Oakes (Kathy), and many other family members and friends that will miss him dearly. Preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Carolyn. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
