Glaser, Rena Born on December 22nd, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 23rd in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she had most recently resided. She was 81 years old. Rena is survived by her beloved husband, Barry Glaser; sons, David Glaser (Theresa) and Joel Glaser (Jethra Kapp); cherished grandchildren, Sarah, Zachary, and Zoe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Sylvia Hochberg; and grandson, Michael Glaser. Rena had a distinguished career as an audiologist, specializing in hearing conservation and occupational health. She led the 3M hearing conservation program, overseeing hearing protection for 50 plants and more than 10,000 employees. A leader in her field, she served as the Chair of the National Hearing Conservation Association and as Chair of the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation. Rena was credited with and received a US patent for a system and method for developing and maintaining multiple protection programs. Her work earned her the prestigious Michael B. Threadgill Award for Outstanding Leadership from the National Hearing Conservation Association. Rena was also deeply involved in her community. She served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Jewish Community Center of St. Paul (JCC) and Jewish Family Services (JFS) of St. Paul. Rena was an active leader, chairing the JCC's Special Needs and Membership Committees and the JFS Governance Committee. She played an instrumental role in leading the JFS B'Yachad program. Rena also found great joy as a mother, grandmother, and through her volunteer work with the Knish Ladies at Sholom Home.
