St. Paul, MN - Regina Maria Breuer, nee Düppengiesser, was born June 16th, 1939, in Stolberg, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. She passed suddenly and unexpectedly on June 2nd, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband Helmut Breuer (July 18th, 2020), brothers Josef Düppengiesser (August 8th, 2003) and Mathias Düppengiesser (September 30th, 2016), father Jakob Düppengiesser (January 13th, 1945), mother Josefine Düppengiesser, nee Hermes (March 16th, 1987), and daughter Ulrike Maria Hildegard Breuer (born May 29th, 1969, and passing on October 27th, 1969). She is survived by her children, Brigitte Ketterson (Jim Ketterson), Joachim Breuer (Jada Breuer, nee Sievers), Susanne Breuer Votruba (Patrick Votruba), and grandchildren Jan Ketterson (Cara Piske), Zak Ketterson (Julie Ensrud), Margaret Votruba, Maximilian Votruba, Stefan Votruba, and August Breuer.

Regina emigrated from Germany to the USA, following her husband's career, in the fall of 1976, settling in Edina, MN. With her children grown, her husband's career required one last move to Bern, Switzerland, after which they retired in Maiden Rock, WI. After her husband's death, Regina moved to Seven Hills Senior Living in St. Paul, so she could be closer to her children living in the Twin Cities metro area.

Regina was happy to be a homemaker, chauffeur for her kids, and enjoyed many Kaffeeklatsches with neighbors and friends. After his retirement, Regina and Helmut enjoyed traveling, seeing relatives and friends back in Europe, as well as trips to Mexico, Japan, and China, in addition to traveling around the USA.

Regina passed her love of food and cooking to her children, as well as knitting, needlepoint, and gardening. She was bubbly and outgoing and eager to talk to anyone who would listen. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have met her.
