Ray L. Martin Obituary

Rosemount - Martin, Ray L. 82 of Rosemount, husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on April 5, 2025 in the Minneapolis Veterans Home of Alzheimer's. Ray's free spirit was evident from a young age in Basin, WY, and he carried that enthusiasm with him throughout his life. He was a graduate of Elkins Institute of Technology in Dallas, TX, a foundation that led him to an early career as a sportscaster and later to a career in advertising sales. Forever a passionate sports fan and avid golfer, he was equally ambitious as a community volunteer fulfilling his desire to make a positive difference in our society. Ray was a member of numerous organizations throughout the metro area. Lovingly survived by his wife Kathy, children Todd (Kathleen), Troy (Nicolette), Molly (James) and grandchildren Elizabeth, Abigail, Caleb, Rebekah, Anna, Torger, Callum and Anja. Also survived by brothers-in-law J. Steven Horman, Thomas Horman and chosen sister-in-law Susan Riedel. Ray will be remembered on May 31, 2025 in a gathering at River Hills United Methodist Church in Burnsville with visitation beginning at 10 am, 11 am service followed by refreshments. Memorials will be directed to 360 communities. Crescent Tide Cremation Services www.crescenttide.com
