Savage, MN - Ray Allan Crenshaw, of Savage, Minnesota, passed away suddenly on September 12, 2025, at the age of 83.
Ray was born on November 8, 1941, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Claude E. Crenshaw and Izetta Stansbrough Crenshaw. He proudly served his community as a police officer before retiring, and he was known for his sense of humor and gentle spirit. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, wisdom, and steady presence.
Ray was deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his siblings, Patricia Praytor, and Gary (Charlotte) Crenshaw; his children, Mark (Holly) Crenshaw, and Dia (Earl) Blake; his grandchildren, Taylor (Lucy) Blake, Carter Blake, and Dana Crenshaw (Zack Hiller); and his great-grandson, Gregory.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, J. Diane Crenshaw. Ray and Diane shared 60 years together, building a lifetime of love and partnership.
A service to honor Ray's life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN 55435. Private burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on a later date.
