Mpls, MN - Randall Scott Nies, 64, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully Dec. 29, 2025, at N.C. Little Memorial Hospice in Edina after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born Sept. 16, 1961, in Bismarck, N.D., Randy was a graduate of Century High School in Bismarck and the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He worked in Bismarck as a retail sales representative for Best Co. and for Dayton's, and after moving to Minneapolis, he worked as a graphic artist at Twin Cities Employment Weekly. Randy is survived by his twin brother, Ronald Nies of Minneapolis, and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty (Bold) Nies and Milton Nies of Bismarck. Memorial donations may be made to Little Hospice, Edina. Service and celebration of life to be determined at a later date.
