Oro Valley, AZ - Ramona Jean (Erickson) Connoy, of Oro Valley, AZ passed away unexpectedly on June 8th, 2026 at age 76 from complications of asthma and chemotherapy. Born on November 23, 1949 in Badger, MN to Andrew ( Andy) and Oline (Christianson) Erickson. Mona graduated Badger High School in 1967. During school breaks she worked at the family owned Andy's Drive-In, where she refined her gift of being able to talk to anyone, anytime, about anything. Mona graduated from Moorhead State College earning a BS degree in Education and Speech/Theatre. In 1977 Mona married Michael Connoy and they shared 49 years of a happy and adventurous life together. Mona had a long and successful management career in the fine jewelry trades starting with Ring Specialty company and later with Kirchner Corp. Mona loved fine food and working her wonders in the kitchen. Her culinary skills were on full display at the Minnesota State Fair where she received multiple blue ribbons over the years. In 2016, Mona and Mike purchased a home in Oro Valley, AZ where they lived full time. Mona was a well known and active member of the Sun City community.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents Andy and Oline, sisters Shirley Pietz, Lois Magnuson, and brothers Russel and Sheldon. She is survived by her husband Michael, twin sisters Linda Monsrud (Dale) and Lola Solheim (Roger); brothers Gary (Joan), Clark (Harriet), Kent (Karla Erdahl); brothers-in-law Curt Pietz and Ken Magnuson and sisters-in-law Gerry Erickson and Helen Erickson, along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mona's life will be held on Thursday, July 23rd from 12 to 3 pm at the Black Forest Inn, 1 East 26th St., Minneapolis, MN. Mona was a loving and generous person who will be deeply missed.
