Mpls, MN - Rachel Ann Bennett, 60, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully in Brainerd, MN, surrounded by family on February 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Up until the end, she maintained her grace, compassion, kindness, and gratitude.

Born on June 26, 1965, in Minneapolis, to Richard and Geralyn (née Mead) Ciesinski. Rachel was an independent child who, alongside her sister Lisa, created many cherished childhood memories. Both Rachel and Lisa shared a close bond throughout their lives, often traveling together.

Rachel, lovingly called "Gia" by her grandchildren, found her greatest joy in camping, fishing, and exploring the outdoors with them, cherishing every adventure and moment spent together. She would often escape the hustle of the city, preferring to spend time in her boat on the Chippewa Flowage and enjoying an occasional Planter's punch. Rachel loved the creative process and working with her hands. She was an accomplished gardener and delighted in sharing the bounty of her garden, eagerly splitting a plant or two to share with others. She spent countless hours crocheting and crafting unique gifts for her loved ones. Known for her dependability, handiness, and work ethic, Rachel touched the lives of those around her with her unwavering dedication and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Geralyn Ciesinski. She is survived by her children, Amanda (Aaron) Ciesinski Chan, Nichole (Kelly) Arntson, and Richard Fourre; six grandchildren, Max, Eloise, Nora, Isla, Anders, and Henry; her sister, Lisa (George Hanson) Ciesinski; and niece, Isabelle Ciesinski.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the MN Ovarian Cancer Alliance to honor Rachel's memory and her courageous fight. A private graveside service will be held, with a celebration of life at a later date.
