Mpls - Neuman, Phyllis Phyllis Neuman (b. Lifson) left us at age 97. Born and raised in Minneapolis to parents of Russian and Romanian heritage, Phyllis thrived in the Minneapolis Jewish community. Phyllis married Irwin Meshbesher and had two children, Jeri Meshbesher (Steve Perlman) and Steven (Nancy) Meshbesher, who survive her. Phyllis later married Frank Neuman, with whom she lived in Scottsdale for nearly fifty years before returning to Minneapolis to enjoy more time with family. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Minnie Lifson; sister, Elaine Lerner; and husband, Frank Neuman. She is survived by her aforementioned children, Jeri and Steven; grandchildren, Jason Williams, Lisa (Travis) Lechner, Jessica (Justin) Kubisiak, Natalie (Jim) McGuire, Matthew (Mary) Meshbesher, Alex Cannon; and great-grandchildren, Carter and Ryan Lechner, Jack McGuire, and Maeve Meshbesher. Phyllis will be remembered for her cheerful nature, delighting in her friends and family and rarely having a conversation without a laugh. Memorials preferred to Temple Israel of Minneapolis.
