Champlin - We regretfully announce the passing of Phyllis (Przybylski) Harris of Champlin, MN, on April 26, 2026. She was 85 years old. She was born Phyllis Emelia Przybylski on March 3, 1941, to Martha and Ralph Przybylski in Argyle, MN. Phyllis graduated from Argyle High School and studied French and Russian languages at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. She graduated in 1964 after formal and informal studies abroad. She had a passion for teaching which led to a career in education. She taught French language courses at Benjamin Franklin Junior High School in Fargo, ND, and Red River High School in Grand Forks, ND. Later she taught undergraduate and graduate level French at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. Phyllis loved to learn and was quick with a pun or a laugh. Phyllis and Kenneth Harris met in Fargo, ND, and were married on June 3, 1967. Their 59th anniversary would have been celebrated on June 3rd this year. She remained active in retirement and participated in several community activities including gardening and book clubs, women's service groups, and singing in the church choir and the North Suburban Concert Chorale holiday concert. Throughout her life, Phyllis had a selfless interest in the welfare of others and was a kind, forgiving, and loving mother and wife. Phyllis succumbed to a heart-related medical procedure and passed away at Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids, MN. She was surrounded by her family before her death. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Martha (Ebertowski) Przybylski and Ralph B. Przybylski; her sister, Elaine (Przybylski) Grein; her brothers, Joseph Przybylski, Jon Przybylski. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Kristen (Tom) Volden, Benjamin (Kelly) Harris; grandchild, Skylar Volden; sister, Evelyn (Przybylski) Eastman; brother, Ralph (Roberta) Przybylski; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Harris) Clayton, Karen Stephens, Luann Przybylski. Visitation and funeral service are planned for Saturday, June 13, 2026, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka, MN. Visitation begins at 10 AM followed by Mass at 11 AM and a reception at 12 PM.
