Peter DesRosier
Peter DesRosier Obituary
Eden Prairie, MN - In Loving Memory of Peter James DesRosier. Peter passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, with his family lovingly by his side, just shy of his 62nd birthday. We take comfort in knowing he was joyfully welcomed into Heaven by his parents George and Katherine, his brothers Tony and Joe, his sisters Kathleen and Fran, and his brothers-in-law Tim and Bill—surely with warm hugs and big smiles.
Peter is survived by his beloved siblings: Marcie, Mike (Lynn), Susan (David), Chris, Colleen, and sister-in-law Lisa. He also leaves behind sixteen nieces and nephews, sixteen great-nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends who deeply cherished him.
Peter proudly embraced life as an All-American guy. He had a passion for sports, all things cowboy, country music, movies, horseback riding, and writing his memoirs. He found joy in sending letters to celebrities and, above all, in spending time with his family. His kindness, sense of humor, and huge heart left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew him—an impact of a star.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Special Olympics, a cause close to Peter's heart as a proud medalist in swimming.
A celebration of Peter's life will be held on Friday May 2nd from 4-7 PM at the Gold Nugget Tavern in Minnetonka, MN. All who knew and loved him are welcome.
