Mpls - Age 72 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on June 26th, 2026, surrounded by family.

He was born on February 22, 1954 in Montevideo, Minnesota, and grew up in Eagan.

Patrick was an avid gardener and loved to cook for his family and friends. He also had a passion for his show dogs. Patrick and his family were members of the Minnesota River Valley Kennel Club for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Norma (Nelson) Robinson, and his brother, Alan.

Patrick is survived by his husband, Craig Schmidt, who spent 40 years by his side; brother, Mike; sister, Cathy; three nieces; and many relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life to be held Thursday, July 23, at the Market of Malcolm Yards Food Court, 501 30th Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414, from 5PM-7PM.

Interment will take place on Wednesday, August 5, at Calvary Cemetery on College Ave in Morris, MN, at 4PM. Reception to follow at the American Legion, 507 Pacific Ave, Morris, MN 56267.
