Aafedt, Patricia "Pat" age 64, of Mpls., died at home on Oct. 30, 2007 following a long illness from Multiple System Atrophy and Parkinson's. Preceded in death by her grandparents; and father, Kendall Light. Survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Michael "Mick"; sons, David (Katie) and their son, Michael of Mpls.; Matt (Jody) and their children, Payton and Ryan of Edina; her mother, Amelia Light of Mpls.; brother, Jeffrey (Adele Bergstrom) Light of Mpls.; sister, Merilee Light of Mpls.; many nieces, nephews and friends. Pat was the former owner of The Book Mill in Edina. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who will be deeply missed by family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, her loyalty, friendship and vibrant spirit who never said an unkind word about anyone. She always put family and friends first, and loved dining out, Men's Gopher Basketball, and golf. Memorials preferred to the Pat Aafedt Scholarship Fund (Men's Gopher Basketball), Safi Foundation (Tanzanian School) or Cathedral of the Pines Church Camp. Interment 9:30 AM Monday at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorial service 11:00 AM Monday at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, West 50th St. & Knox Ave S., Mpls.
