St Louis Park - Balcos, Ophelia Gloria Age 88, of St. Louis Park, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emmanuel. Ophelia is survived by her children Edwin (Kim), Ethan (Kimberley), Eileen (Stephen), Eydie (Darrin), and Eric (Robyn); and her cherished grandchildren Nico & Jade, Alicia (Chris), Mitchell, & Justin; Jacob & Maya. Ophelia was a loving wife, devoted mother, sister, and friend. She was a respected leader in the Fil-Minnesotan Association, served on the Civil Rights Commission, and was active in the broader Minneapolis medical community. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 11, at the Basilica of Saint Mary, followed by a Catholic Mass at 12:00 noon.
