Bloomington - Age 83, of Bloomington, passed away December 11, 2025. Born August 29, 1942, in Minneapolis. Preceded in death by husband, Martin R. Layman.
Nancy taught for 36 years and led Girl Scouts for 9 years. A loving mother and proud grandmother, she was joyfully involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was a marvelous baker, an avid reader, and loved traveling with her sister, Sandy Strecker. A devout Christian, she cherished singing hymns at church.
Survived by daughters Michelle Layman Linares and Sandra (Andrew) Cohen; grandchildren Ryan, Cassandra and Anders Linares; Kristina and Robert Layman; and Martin and Caroline Cohen; sister Sandy Strecker; and many relatives and friends.
Visitation at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel, 5125 W Broadway, Crystal, Dec. 19, 2025, 9:30-11 AM. Service at 11 AM. Burial at Fort Snelling at 12:45 PM.
