Nadia Reda Obituary

St. Louis Park, MN - Nadia Eid Reda passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family and caregiver on June 23rd, 2026.

Born in Alexandria, Egypt on August 16, 1945, she was raised in Cairo with her two sisters and brother. After completing her undergraduate degree at the American University in Cairo, she married her husband of 57 years, Rasheed Reda.

Immigrating to the United States in 1970, she completed her graduate studies in linguistics at the University of Minnesota and spent her early career teaching English as a Second Language. In 1985, she joined the International School of Minnesota and spent the next 30 years championing academic excellence across the country, opening schools from Massachusetts to Arizona. A natural-born educator, Nadia always operated as though anyone could learn anything and that there was no limit to what they could accomplish.

Nadia's greatest joy was her family. She was the most loving mother to her two children Rami and Kareem and a supportive and caring wife to her husband. She filled her home with warmth, delicious food, impromptu song, and unbounded love. A devoted mother who nurtured everyone around her, she sweetened victories and softened defeats. Nadia inspired love and greatness through consistent support and an unwavering belief in the people around her.

She is survived by her husband Rasheed, her children Rami (Dalia) and Kareem (Stacy), sister Mushira, sister-in-law Enas, nephew Alaa (Suzanne), and her cat Gucci. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abu Bakr and Hedayat, her brother Mohamed, and sister Hoda.

Celebration of Life is planned for "Mrs. Reda" on Friday, August 7th, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. at The International School of Minnesota, 6385 Beach Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55344
